Sean Watson

One of the best-known brakeless trials riders out there, Sean's riding is all about creativity. Whether it's on the streets, in the woods or at the skatepark, he will always find the most interesting and enjoyable way to ride whatever he finds in front of him.

How old are you and where are you from?
Young, I call Edmonton, Alberta, Canada home most of the time.

What is your day job?
I work at Mud Sweat and Gears, your local Canadian Inspired dealer! Basically, I am just there to entertain the staff.

Apart from working and riding, what do you like to do?
I like the more creative things, like drawing or painting. My friends are a big part of my life so I like hang out with them. Filming, either biking or non-biking is a big one for me. Oh and looking for interesting articles of clothing.

Every top rider needs to be well fueled, what is your favourite food/drink?
Caesar Salad, I eat a lot of it! As far as drinks go any kind of fancy coffee.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I am really in to the whole psychedelic rock genre right now, bands like The Black Angels, Donovan or Dead Meadow. Also the really dirty sounding surf music from people like Dick Dale, Link Wray or the Tornadoes. This is the stuff that really gets me pumped!

What kind of film/TV show do you like?
I don’t really watch a lot of TV. But as far as films go… anything directed by Stanley Kubrick or Quentin Tarantino. Really anything that gets you thinking. Also anything with Christopher Walken in it.

How long have you been riding and how did you get into it?
I have been riding for about 10 years now I think, and to tell you the truth I do not really remember how I got in to it all… I remember going out, riding around with friends and having a great time, that’s where it grew from I guess. I am glad it went that way.

Who are you favourite riders and why?
Anyone that does their own thing, Roskelley, Ali C ranks high on the list, and Aran Iolo Cook, he has the most bizarre style out of any trials rider I have ever seen, especially watching him in real life.

What would be your ideal day?
Every day is my ideal day.

Where is the best place you have ever ridden in the UK/abroad?
In the UK I would have to say Blackpool or Bristol as both seemed kind of sketchy. Here in Canada, probably Vancouver city. Moab in Utah was amazing though, craziest natural stuff I have ever seen!

What motivates you to ride?
My bike… if you have the right feeling bike to do whatever you please it's easy to get on it and ride everyday. But most of all the feeling I get from riding and being with my friends.

What are your favourite things about riding an Inspired?
It's just the perfect all around bike! No company out there produces a bike that feels like an Inspired. Hands down… everything about them is my favourite.

Can you give us a quick rundown of your current bike spec?
Inspired Arcade 24" street trials bike with Inspired, Hope and Trialtech parts. Ride Sleazy!
